Active Threat Security Training for the Community 

 Join Federation for one of two opportunities to learn how to manage active security threats, featuring our community's Interim Regional Security Advisor, Eddy Azcarate, with an introduction by Federation CEO, Gil Preuss. This important webinar will enhance your situational awareness, empower you to help during a medical emergency, and leave you feeling more confident about your options in the event of an active security threat.

Donations Needed: A Wider Circle 

Federation partner, Edlavitch DCJCC, works closely with A Wider Circle to provide life-changing services to individuals and families transitioning out of homelessness.  Right now, the demand for donations is much higher than the supply, and they need your help. You can drop off items including (but not limited to) furniture, nonperishable food items, and personal care items.

Potomac Conservancy River Clean-Up 

Help protect and conserve our local environment by cleaning up the Potomac River with Federation partner, Bender JCC. 

» Saturday, August 19 | 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM 

Federation, our Jewish Community Foundation, and our partners, the Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC), Anti-Defamation League (ADL), American Jewish Committee (AJC), and Secure Community Network (SCN), are working to combat hatred and continue to secure our community for the long-term. In March 2023, Federation’s Board approved an initial $2 million in funding to combat antisemitism over the next three years: an important step in a large-scale initiative.
