at Cottage Theatre
Friday, April 17
Before the show and at intermission
Bob Welch is a speaker, author, award-winning columnist and teacher who has served as an adjunct professor of journalism at the University of Oregon in Eugene. A long-time columnist for the Eugene Register-Guard, Welch has twice won the National Society of Newspaper Columnists’s highest award for writing. He has written more than 15 books, the latest of which is titled 52 Little Lessons from Les Misérables.
From the book jacket:
" . . . Welch walks readers through Victor Hugo's masterpiece, extracting dozens of uniquely spiritual reflections from this enduring portrait of poverty, social injustice, mercy, and redemption. Welch reminds us that Jean Valjean's life provides the truest example of why real love is found in the grittiest places, and that hearts are made whole beneath the crush of mercy."
Bob Welch will be joining us at Cottage Theatre for the Friday, April 17 performance of Les Misérables and will be autographing copies of his book before the show and during intermission.
Copies of his book will be available for sale (or you can bring an already-purchased copy for an autograph). If your show tickets are for another performance, you are welcome to just stop by for the book signing that night.
