2025 Oklahoma Legislative Session Ends The 2025 Oklahoma Legislative Session concluded on Friday, May 30, with the following bills related to the state’s film and television industry effectively becoming law:
HB 2110: Creates the Bringing Sitcoms Home from Hollywood Pilot Program Act.
HB 2374: Filmed in Oklahoma Act of 2021 procedures for withholding tax; income tax treatment; set aside amount for economic impact reviews.

OF+MO Celebrates 25 Years of deadCenter with Movies, Music and More OF+MO is proud to sponsor deadCenter’s 25th annual Film Festival taking place in Oklahoma City June 11-15. OF+MO will exhibit at Oklahoma Contemporary, as well as support live local music at Thursday’s after party at Bricktown Brewery and the Friday Night Frolic at Dunlop Codding. Additional programming highlights include the selection of five films that utilized the state’s incentive as well as a special Brunch and Learn event for passholders showcasing cutting edge technology from the film “A Rare Grand Alignment” with special guests from the production hosted by One Set Studio, a state certified soundstage.

Voice Over Acting: Behind the Mic with PJ Sosko Join veteran stage, screen and voice actor PJ Sosko (“Gotham”, “The Wire”) for a one-day intensive designed to help sharpen skills and expand tool kits for voice acting. Whether new to the mic or looking to level up, this session will cover cold reads, character work, industry insights and home studio essentials. Participants will receive voice over copy with which to practice, class and beyond. This class is presented by Meridian Technology Center’s South Guthrie Campus on June 7 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Learn the Art of Location Scouting and Management Francis Tuttle’s Rockwell Campus in Oklahoma City is offering Location Scouting and Management, a multi-week course designed to give students hands-on knowledge of what it takes to organize and manage a film project from the ground up. Led by Luke Helms (“Twisters,” “Killers of the Flower Moon”), this course covers city permitting, utility and interdepartmental regulations and the behind-the-scenes logistics that support large-scale productions. Classes take place on M-W-TH in the evenings June 30-July 17.

Film Muskogee Awards First Production Incentive to Local Musician’s Latest Video The recent music video release of Tulsa-based retro jazz artist Amelia Jo’s interpretation of the Soul Asylum song “Runaway Train” was the first production to utilize the City of Muskogee’s new Film Muskogee incentive program. Film Muskogee, an initiative of the Muskogee Tourism Authority with support from the City of Muskogee, offers up to $75,000 in incentives annually.
A portion of the proceeds from the “Runaway Train” single will go to The Demand Project, a non-profit dedicated to helping exploited children.
