Spring Forward! Gala on Sunday, May 22, 2022
The SBCC Foundation’s Spring Forward! Gala will be held outdoors on Sunday, May 22, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on the beautiful Great Meadow of SBCC’s West Campus. The event’s spectacular setting overlooking the ocean will be transformed into an elegant venue by Merryl Brown Events.

Attendees will enjoy an exquisite dinner prepared and served by the renowned Seasons Catering. The extraordinary talent of SBCC Music students and faculty will be on display as they provide entertainment for the evening, and SBCC Art faculty and students will create original works of art to enhance the venue.

All are welcome to join us in celebrating our community’s college and raising funds to support the work of the SBCC Foundation, which provides more than $5 million each year to support the SBCC Promise, scholarships, emergency grants, and more! The gala begins with a rece
ption at 4:00 p.m. followed by dinner, a short program, and entertainment at 5:30 p.m.

The SBCC Women in Leadership Certificate (Level 1) program is a unique opportunity for early career professionals to develop essential leadership practices and skills for career advancement. This course, offered through the SBCC School of Extended Learning in partnership with the SBCC Foundation, provides an opportunity for collaboration with other women through a cohort model. 

In this hybrid program, which includes both an in-person and synchronous format, women will have an opportunity to understand and strategize with their strengths as women leaders. Participants will attend three in-person dates and four 3-hour online sessions (May 20—June 11).

SBCC Foundation Establishes the Ukrainian Student Relief Fund
The SBCC Foundation has established the Ukrianian Student Relief Fund to assist Ukrainian students at SBCC who need emergency grants to continue their studies. If you would like to contribute to the fund, please visit the SBCC Foundation donation page and select "Ukrainian Student Relief Fund" in the drop-down menu next to Donation Designation. Thank you!

SBCC Commencement Ceremony on May 13, 2022

Join us for SBCC's 2022 Commencement ceremony, happening in-person on Friday, May 13, 5:00 p.m. at LaPlaya Stadium. The ceremony will include graduates and candidates from Summer 2021–Spring 2022.
