Happy New Girl Scout Year!
October 1 marks the beginning of the 2016-2017 Girl Scout year. Welcome to our new volunteers. And welcome back to our returning volunteers. Girl Scouts Heart of Michigan cannot thank you enough for the time and commitment you have made toward helping girls soar. There is no way we can do the things we do without you. You truly inspire us on a daily basis.
We are so excited about this year. Look for more and more programs emphasizing GIRL-LED! We are learning from older girls what they want their Girl Scouts to look like. We are refining many processes to make your life easier, We will continue to get our EQUALITY FOR GIRLS message out and to work that mission into our core values, programming, adult training, and more. We continue to move at the speed of girls...and that would not be possible without you.

NEW Office Hours
To use our resources most wisely and best maximize our staff’s and your time, we will be adopting new office and store hours beginning December 1, 2016. We are excited to have a council-wide late night and hope it will make your life easier. And, if you can’t get to us during these hours, please call. Additional hours are available by appointment. 1-800-49-SCOUT. Monday: 10 a.m.–5 p.m.
Tuesday: 10 a.m.–7 p.m.
Wednesday: 10 a.m.–5 p.m.
Thursday: 10 a.m.–5 p.m.
Friday: 10 a.m.–5 p.m.

STEMinista Saturday
Pass on to your girls!

Grades: 4–8
Time: 10:00 a.m.–3 p.m.
Sponsored by the Ford Foundation, Michigan Science Center hosts STEMinista Saturdays the second Saturday of each month!
In December, girls will work on their own invention to help fix a problem of their choice! Where will her creativity take her?
Register on ebiz for this GSHOM ONLY session. Registration closes November 30, 2016. Limited to the first 50 girls.
If the girls sign up, they must attend. The $50 fee is generously covered by a grant from the Ford Foundation, but we are asking people to pay a $10 deposit that they will have refunded to them after they attend the program.

ACH is mandatory to participate in the Product Programs this year; luckily when you fill it out in the fall it will last the whole Girl Scout year!
