Dear Connect:Science Notification Subscribers,
We began this seminar series on March 23, 2020, to help pull our community of cancer research faculty, trainees, and lab staff together during this time when scientific idea sharing and collaboration became so difficult. We involved speakers from around the world who are leaders in their specialties across all aspects of cancer. Over this time, we have run 205 of these seminars and have welcomed in thousands of you to our live broadcasts, and thousands more to the on-demand video recordings.
Now, as we look to wrap-up our fourth academic-year, and the final vestiges of pandemic restrictions are fading, we are seeing the signs of our vibrant community coming back out for in-person talks, seminars, and symposia, and we believe that the time for Connect:Science is coming to an end.
There are 2 more talks scheduled for June, all at noon EST, and we would love for you to join us as we power down:
- June 20 - Jorge Reis-Filho, MD, PhD (Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center), “Genomics of Rare Cancer Types: More Then Tumor Philately!”
- June 27 - Judith A. Varner, PhD (UC San Diego), “Flipping the Cancer Immune Suppression Switch: A Bench to Bedside Story”
We have enjoyed the rich dialog between speakers, our hosts, and the audiences that have joined us, and we want to thank each and every one of you that has signed on, or watched a recording, for taking part in this necessary, but temporary series.
From my lab to yours, thank you for being a valued and contributing member of the broader cancer research community.
