Dear Parents and Families,
We are writing to share a few reminders regarding your student’s arrival/move-in day and parent and family programs.
While registration is not required to attend programming for parents and families on your student’s move-in day or the Matriculation Ceremony on Thurs., Aug. 29, we hope you will take a few minutes to fill out our brief survey and let us know which programs you plan to attend.

If your student is participating in a Pre-Orientation program, arrival/move in is Fri., Aug. 23. Students residing on the Medford/Somerville campus are assigned timed arrivals based on their Pre-O program and check-in at the Joyce Cummings Center, 177 College Avenue, Medford. For BFA students living in Beacon Street residences and participating in a Pre-O program, arrival/check in is 9-11 a.m. at 1047 Beacon Street, Brookline.
If your student is not participating in a Pre-Orientation program, arrival/move in is Wed., Aug. 28. Students residing on the Medford/Somerville campus check-in between 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Joyce Cummings Center, 177 College Avenue, Medford. Mailing Packages in Advance
Packages can be mailed to the Medford mailroom in advance of your student's move-in day, but please do not mail anything before Aug. 1. For BFA students, packages can be mailed to the SMFA mailroom in advance, starting Aug. 15. For more information, including Package Delivery Guidelines, visit the Mail Services web pages.

Undergraduate Orientation |
As a reminder, Undergraduate Orientation is required for all new students, including new transfer students. Orientation will run from Wed., Aug. 28 through Mon., Sept. 2; classes begin on Tues., Sept. 3. Please note: students participating in The Wilderness Orientation (TWO) will begin Orientation on Thurs., Aug. 29.
During Orientation, students participate in a wide range of programs designed to familiarize them with campus resources, build community and connection, and establish skills for independence and responsibility. Your student will receive their Orientation schedule at check in.
We will send more information about arrivals and move in next month. Until then, please refer to the Orientation website. We are excited to welcome your students to Tufts and looking forward to seeing many of you during move in as well!
