Qigong For Better Sleep - Workshop with Cari Shurman
Tuesday, Apr. 5 | 6:30 - 7:45 p.m.

The ancient Chinese practice of Qigong (pronounced chee-gong), is a moving meditation that helps you relax, breathe, visualize and fall asleep. During this special workshop, we will learn why we practice different movements in the morning and the evening, depending on whether we are waking up and getting ready to go or slowing down, ready to sleep and refresh the body. We will do some relaxing movements to encourage energy flow and then lie down for a Qigong meditation. After the class, if you would like to receive the audio of the meditation, it can be requested so you can use it at home whenever you need it. Wear loose clothes so that you can relax. Bring a jacket so you are not cold when we lie still. You may even bring your own blanket and pillow if you'd like. All are welcome. No experience necessary.

Reminders & Highlights

Turf Aeration & Weed Spraying
Weather dependent, our service provider will begin turf aeration in Master Common areas and privately contracted lawns beginning Monday, Apr. 4.
If your private yard in the Settlement or Old Town is one that will be aerated, please help the crews by keeping your yard clear of any debris, especially dog poop.
RVRMA has the goal of reducing herbicide use throughout the community and we strive to keep our weed spraying process transparent. We have been working with the Carbondale Parks Department, using natural methods such as aeration, fertilizing, overseeding, and topdressing to help ensure that our turf is as healthy as possible.  Be on the lookout for a new page on our website devoted to grounds maintenance. In the mean time you can view the weed spraying schedule by clicking here.
Ranch House
Covid 19 Protocols

Given the declining infection rates in both Garfield and Pitkin Counties, effective Friday, Mar. 25, the Ranch House will no longer ask for proof of vaccination and will not require masks to be worn indoors. We do encourage guests to continue using masks if it makes them comfortable. We are grateful for everyone’s cooperation through the Omicron variant surge and we are hopeful that a “return to normalcy” will continue for the foreseeable future.
Click here to view the Infectious Disease Control and Environmental Hazard Mitigation Policy. We continue to ask that you refrain from using the facility if experiencing any symptoms and that you follow the “common sense precautions” noted in that document.  Should we face a future scenario of increased risk, we will re-evaluate our rules in line with that policy.

The Boundary Association Board of Directors invite Boundary homeowners to a Board Meeting on Thursday, Apr. 7, 2022, at 5 p.m. Boundary homeowners can attend in person in the Ranch House conference room or via Zoom. Agenda and Zoom Link to follow.
Green Tip
Please enjoy the following eco-friendly tidbit brought to you by Friends of the Environment:
Drinking Water (Part 2)
Stewardship of the watershed is crucial to maintaining water quality within the basin. As water moves over the ground and through soil, contaminants can be picked up and carried to a stream, river, or well that supplies drinking water. We can all protect the water quality in the watershed with the following actions:
  • Properly dispose of chemicals. Never pour them on the ground or down a storm drain.
  • Instead of using hazardous lawn and garden or household products, purchase safer alternatives.
  • Dispose of pet waste properly.
  • Protect riparian zones by using established trails along river corridors and protect the vegetative landscape. Riparian zones are crucial to the watershed and water quality. Within any riparian zone, construction, development, activity, or other encroachments are detrimental to the riparian habitat and its functionality within the watershed.
Additional information on the watershed can be obtained on the Town of Carbondale's web site: TownofCarbondale_SWPP_FINAL_Public_040815.pdf (revize.com)
