$25,000 Matching Gift Campaign!

Last month, a student got a library card and checked out books.
Another opened a bank account and learned about career options with Virginia Career Works.
Another made a doctor's appointment in English for the first time.
These wins may sound small, but for our students, they are life-changing steps towards independence, stability, and belonging. Literacy empowerment and community engagement will always be intertwined.
Now, the loss in federal funding — almost a quarter of our budget — puts these successes at risk.
Generous donors have stepped up with a $25,000 matching gift challenge. From now until Labor Day, your gift will be doubled. Give now and double your impact!
Since 1983, Charlottesville has sustained LVCA. For 41 years, we have seen the transformative power that comes when literacy unlocks potential. For 41 years, the Charlottesville community has supported us as we fulfil our mission. Please continue to help our students receive these vital services.
