Learn all about Solar Eclipse Activities for Libraries at our Virtual Trainings!


STAR Net's SEAL project is creating hands-on activity guides, science resources, and giving away free solar viewing glasses for the annular solar eclipse in 2023 and the total solar eclipse in 2024. To get your library or library system ready for these awesome solar events we're hosting a series of virtual trainings throughout 2023 and 2024 to let you know all about the great resources available through SEAL. We'll review the SEAL project, explore the contents of the circulating solar viewing kits, demonstrate hands-on activities, and more!

“The STAR Library Network (STAR Net) is a hands-on learning network for libraries and their communities across the country. STAR Net focuses on helping library professionals build their STEM skills by providing “science-technology activities and resources” (STAR) and training to use those resources.
STAR Net is built upon a strong network of collaborators and partners, led by the Space Science Institute’s (SSI) National Center for Interactive Learning (NCIL).
Funding is provided by the National Science Foundation, the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation, NASA Office of STEM Engagement, and the NASA Science Mission Directorate.
