Global Health at Vanderbilt:
The Impact of an Institute Without Walls

On September 25, keynote speaker, Kayvon Modjarrad, M.D., Ph.D., Associate Director for Emerging Infectious Disease Threats, Walter Reed Army Institute of Research and U.S. Military HIV Research Program will present "Vaccine Development During Public Health Emergencies: How to Build a Plane While Flying It through a Storm" at our global health symposium. Other presentations will include VIGH supported initiatives presented by faculty. The event will last from 2 - 4 p.m. in 208 Light Hall, followed by a reception to honor, VIGH founding director, Dr. Sten Vermund at 4:00 p.m. in the Langford Auditorium Lobby.

Register online for the Nashville AIDS Walk through downtown Nashville next weekend on September 23. The walk will support Nashville CARES, a local non-profit that provides services to 55,000 Middle Tennesseans who are affected by HIV/AIDS every year and offers prevention education to 35,000 individuals.
