As October begins, we are already looking ahead to 2022 planning and thinking about budget and leadership. We have gone through so much transition at Parkway Hills not just in staffing but also as a people striving to safely walk through unprecedented times. However, it is not the first time, and won’t be the last time, that Parkway Hills faces change and new journeys. Throughout the month of October, we will use our time in worship to remember the beginning calling that led to Parkway Hills, and reflect on how we are carrying on that original vision and mission with our prayers, presence, gifts, service, and witness. Parkway Hills began in 1995 with a dream of offering a fresh expression of God’s love through worship, study, service, and fellowship. The new church hoped to be a safe space for those who had never experienced church, a place that felt like home, and a place for everyone so that all people may experience and grow in God’s love and grace. Twenty-six years later, with only 16 remaining payments left on our mortgage, we commit to living out these original dreams.
Let us finish strong and stay strong by remembering why we started in the first place!
See you in worship! It is a great time to invite a friend.
