Indiana University Professor, Dr. Curtis Bonk, presented an engaging and interactive talk to motivate educators and learners on the online and Blended Learning environment at the 2015 National Registry Summit on Thursday, September 10 in Washington D.C. Bonk’s presentation entitled, “Learning is Changing: The Basics of Blended Learning and Beyond,” emphasized best practices he has seen around the world and how different methods can be expanded or altered to fit individual’s preferences, learning styles and needs.  -read more-
Jonathan Halls, Keynote Speaker, Explains How Videos Are the New Way to Educate
Jonathan Halls, a media/corporate training consultant and author, provided guidance on how to structure video content that looks professional, will draw the learner’s attention and also retain them at this year’s National Registry Summit. Speaking to attendees in Washington D.C. on September 10, Halls taught the group techniques used by professional broadcasters to speed up production, without compromising quality, all while using affordable consumer cameras.   -read more-
Public Comment Period Closes on Proposed Revisions to
CPE Standards
On May 19, 2015, NASBA and the AICPA issued proposed revisions to the Statement on Standards for Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Programs (Standards). The public comment period on the proposed revisions to the Standards closed on October 1, 2015. The approach to changing to the Standards has been additive.  -read more-

What are the requirements of program knowledge levels in
promotional materials?
The program knowledge level refers to the depth of the content presented in a program. The Statement on Standards for Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Programs (Standards) specifies five program levels: basic, intermediate, advanced, update and overview. Properly assigned program levels allow the participant to determine if he or she has the appropriate background to take the course.   -read more-
