Screenings are only part of your defense against late-stage cancerThere are over 200 types of cancer, yet only 4 screenings are recommended as effective in saving lives.
Why do I need 3 Steps Detect? - 40% of people will develop cancerâand it's often YOU who will first notice the subtle signs of cancer.
- There are over 200 types of cancer, but based on CDC and USPSTF reviews, only 4 screenings have been shown to reduce death. It's why screenings are only part of your defense.
- Half of all cancers are diagnosed in late stages when the prognosis is much poorer. Don't let that be you.
- YOU can learn to recognize the early signs of cancer and other health issues. 3 Steps Detect can show you how.
- 1 in 4 participants of 3 Steps Detect results in identifying cancer or other health issues earlier.

đ©ș A Nurse's Firsthand Perspective
Katie Brier, RN, says,
"Patients need to know that their voices are just as important as lab work, imaging, and other diagnostic tests when it comes to early cancer detection."
Katie sees the value of DetecTogether's 3 Steps Detect:
- As critical to knowing when to seek care and how to partner with your healthcare provider.
- Understanding that healthcare begins with your actions. Your voice and persistence matter for timely care and better outcomes.
- Giving you the ability to recognize and act on early cancer warning signs can save your life and improve your quality of life.

PFAS Bill passes in Massachusettsâa step toward reducing harmful exposure for firefighters
The recently passed PFAS bill in Massachusetts is a significant step toward reducing firefighters' exposure to harmful "forever chemicals." Starting in 2027, the law will ban the sale of firefighting gear that contains intentionally added PFAS chemicals. These chemicals, which are highly toxic even at low levels, have been linked to higher rates of cancer among firefighters. The law is considered one of the strongest in the nation and is expected to save lives by reducing occupational cancer risks.
This legislation marks the beginning of broader efforts to phase out PFAS across various products. Massachusetts is one of several states taking action on PFAS, joining others like Connecticut and Colorado in restricting these chemicals in various consumer goods.

Early cancer detection is a firefighter's family affairÂ
It's a family affair when it comes to supporting the importance of early cancer detection education for the Marchetti family. Joe, a former firefighter, had cancer twice in his 40s and now is an instructor for DetecTogether as he believes in the life-saving power of 3 Steps Detect.
Joe's wife Jenn is a survivor too, "As a survivor and the spouse of a firefighter survivor, I believe the roadmap of early cancer detection with 3 Steps Detect is vital to us all and our overall health and wellness."
Jenn continued, "I want others to learn from me and seek care in the early stages rather than later stages. DetecTogether has created a simple 3 Steps Detect program that is easy for us all to follow and it is a game changer in saving lives."
