Campus Dining announces retail dining master plan

The Campus Dining team has announced a retail dining master plan that features several changes over the next three years. The enhanced offerings include the fall debut of the Asian-inspired Noodle Nook in LaFortune and the spring opening of Chick-fil-A in the Duncan Student Center. The master plan is a result of student, faculty, staff and community focus groups and interviews. (More...

Faculty mobilize to meet pope's call to care for our Earth

An interdisciplinary group of 20 faculty gathered at Fernwood Botanical Garden for three days of action-planning oriented around Pope Francis’ encyclical on climate change. The Notre Dame Institute for Advanced Study’s Zahm Retreat anticipates the upcoming Notre Dame Forum and its theme, “Care for Our Common Home: Just Transition to a Sustainable Future.”

WSJ interviews professor for article on suicide attack in Hong Kong

On July 1, a man stabbed a Hong Kong police officer before killing himself. Some who oppose China's sovereignty over Hong Kong consider him a martyr, but authorities call him a domestic terrorist and warned against glorifying an act of violence. Victoria Hui, associate professor of political science, said the official rhetoric linking mourning to terrorism shows Hong Kong is inching toward a level of repression seen in other border regions like Tibet.
