Elevate Your Teaching With Midcourse Evaluation and Formative Observation |
In alignment with Miami’s teacher-scholar model, the CTE offers two invaluable services: (1) an individual midcourse consultation to interpret your student midcourse evaluation data, and (2) a formative observation paired with a consultation. Think of these services as inviting a critical friend into your pedagogical process—a skilled partner who brings a fresh set of eyes to offer actionable insights that can enhance your students’ learning and enrich your own satisfaction in the classroom.

This Faculty Focus article calls for a paradigm shift in how we view the instructor’s role. De-emphasizing the expert/novice dichotomy in favor of a two-way, social process reduces cognitive load and enhances our ability to connect with students and meet them where they are as learners.

What Is an Instructor's Role in the Age of AI? |
In this well-referenced article from Faculty Focus, the author argues that instructors’ role in the AI age remains largely the same as it’s always been: to inspire our students to learn the content.
