| Optional Trash and Recycling Totes Offered for 2016
Starting in January, residents will have the option of continuing to use their own trash and recycling containers (either trash cans or bags) or of using totes provided at no charge by Waste Connections. Trash and recycling service will be weekly as it is now. If you prefer to use the 96-gallon totes, you will need to contact Waste Connections at kencarylco@wasteconnections.com so they may deliver totes to your home for a January start date. Please tell them you are a Ken-Caryl resident and provide your name, address and phone number. If you want to continue using your own containers, you do not need to do anything. Your service will continue as is. If you decide that you would like to use the tote system at a later date you can sign up at that time.

| Christmas Tree Sale Dec. 5
The annual Christmas Tree Sale will be held at the Dakota Lodge on Saturday, Dec. 5 from 8-10 a.m. A limited number of trees cut from forest management areas will be available to the public on a first come, first served basis. Rangers are requesting donations in exchange for the trees, and the donations will be used to offset expenses in the open space program. Mainly Douglas Firs and some Ponderosa Pines will be cut two weeks before the sale, so they will be very fresh and fragrant for the sale. These trees are not bushy and manicured like those found on Christmas tree lots around town, but the fresh pine scent still invokes the holiday spirit. The Rangers harvest the trees in the open space to improve wildlife habitat and overall forest health. The removal of the small trees reduces overcrowding and eliminates ladder fuels that can carry fire into a forest canopy.

| Neighborhood Sign Survey
Earlier this fall the Master Association Board asked for residents' thoughts regarding the future of the individual neighborhood signs. Thank you to those residents who responded. However the variety of responses from residents did not offer a clear direction regarding the signs. Therefore a survey is in order. Please take a minute to answer the Neighborhood Sign Survey.

| Trash Service Delay Week of Thanksgiving
This is a reminder from the Ken-Caryl Ranch trash service provider, Waste Connections, that Thanksgiving Day is an observed holiday. If your trash day is normally on Thursday, instead it will be picked up the Friday after Thanksgiving. If your regular trash day is Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday, your service is not affected. Waste Connections offers an auto-dial service to notify customers of any delays or changes in trash pickup days. If you are interested in being notified through this service, you can sign up online at www.wcdenver.com/contact/. Complete the required information, click on Residential Trash Service, then in the comment section at the bottom of the page explain that you are a Ken-Caryl resident seeking to sign up for the Call Fire service.
