Virtual Visits Begin for Prospective Students

On a typical spring day, the Lord blesses us with dozens of prospective students and their families visiting Cedarville. The COVID-19 pandemic has made this year anything but typical! But, I’m blessed to say that dozens of families are still visiting virtually! Our admissions team developed an innovative virtual visit that students can enjoy from the safety of their homes. Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 10:30 a.m., guests join us for a welcome presentation hosted live by an admissions leader, then they can participate in a virtual campus tour, meet with an admission counselor via a Zoom video call, and observe a Bible minor class online. Please share this virtual visit opportunity with your friends and family who have students beginning their college search.

Cedarville Family Shows Incredible Generosity With #CUGiveHope

We are grateful to our faithful donors who made the #CUGiveHope day of giving such a success. Starting with two generous lead gifts totaling $68,000, we hoped to raise at least $100,000 for scholarships and emergency relief for students and their families hit hardest by the pandemic. The Lord far exceeded our expectations, as we raised $214,907 by the morning of April 9, with still more continuing to give as this newsletter was written. Thanks for your amazing generosity, and please continue to pray for our students and their families during this very difficult time.

Faithful Staff Continue

to Serve During Pandemic

While most of our faculty and staff shifted to working at home, a few of our Cedarville family remain on campus to ensure that operations run smoothly, online learning is supported, and the campus is secure. We thank God for these servants, for their faithfulness and diligence. Enjoy this photo essay compiled by Scott Huck, campus photographer.

Switch to All-Online Classes

Shows Faculty’s Servant Hearts

Because of the coronavirus pandemic, as of March 16, all of our face-to-face classes switched to an online format. In just a few days' time, Cedarville faculty members adapted course plans and traditional approaches to teaching to ensure that our students are continuing to receive an excellent Cedarville education marked by intentional discipleship in submission to biblical authority. Even in these difficult times, God is still using our faculty to make a difference in the lives of students. We thought you might enjoy seeing some of their innovative teaching approaches!

Student Models Core Values With 3-D Masks for Healthcare Workers

Sophomore Connor Hart started creating 3-D prosthetics for children with limb differences when he was in high school. He continued this service at Cedarville through his Hands of Hope nonprofit. With the arrival of the coronavirus, Connor cut back his meetings with clients to observe safe social distancing and then switched from making prosthetics to 3-D printing masks designed to function like N95 masks for medical professionals and nursing homes. Connor’s heart reflects Cedarville’s core values: Love for God, Love for Others, Integrity in Conduct, and Excellence in Effort.

Theology II Now Available as Part

of Online Bible Minor Project

One of the value-added distinctives of a Cedarville education is the Bible minor that is built into every undergraduate program. Now, we are making this outstanding Bible teaching available to everyone through our online Bible Minor Project. Every lecture from all five Bible minor courses will be recorded and, when completed, made available for free for personal enrichment, group Bible studies, and the benefit of the church. We made OT Literature available last summer, and there have been more than 22,000 video plays to date! Now, Theology II, taught by Dr. Jeremy Kimble, associate professor of theology, is available.
