CAPND would like to extend a congratulatory farewell to our friend/colleague, Perry Lundon, as he starts his well earned retirement.

2022 VA Permanent Housing Placement
Between 2010-2020, the number of Veterans experiencing homelessness in the United States was cut roughly in half. However, data shows that since 2016 progress toward ending Veteran homelessness stalled. The 2022 Permanent Housing Placement Challenge was established to support, revitalize, and streamline the Veteran Administration's investment in and commitment to ending Veteran homelessness and ensure at-risk Veterans are safeguarded from this crisis. The nationwide goal was to house 38,000 Veterans and North Dakota's specific goal was to house 136 Veterans
With the results in, nationwide 40,401 homeless Veterans were permanently housed exceeding the goal by 6.3%. North Dakota exceeded their goal by housing 147 Veterans!

CAPND conducts poverty simulations to large groups for educational purposes. The poverty simulation experience is designed to help participants begin to understand what it might be like to live in a typical low-income family trying to survive from month-to-month. It is a simulation, not a game. The object is to sensitize participants to the realities faced by low-income people.
Learn more about our Poverty Simulations here.
If you are interested in scheduling a simulation experience or would like a quote, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
