| Practical Skills for Challenging Student Interactions |
You don’t need to be a conflict-resolution expert to handle a difficult interaction well. The module “Diffusing Conflict: Managing Confrontation” gives faculty practical tools they can use when a student is angry, rude, demanding or confrontational. Work through realistic situations, practice effective responses, and learn strategies for keeping conversations productive while maintaining appropriate boundaries. Participants who complete the module will earn a digital badge that can be shared on LinkedIn and other professional profiles. Access the module.

Office of Grants and Research Services |
Working on a Grant Application?
|
The Office of Grants and Research Services will be sharing a series of best practices over the next few weeks to support faculty and administrators who are working on grant applications.
|
All grant applications at the University are required to be submitted through Cayuse. To ensure a successful and compliant submission through the Cayuse system, all Seton Hall University community members acting as Principal Investigators (PIs) must strictly adhere to the institutional policy and procedural checklist.
|
As soon as you know you have determined you will apply for a grant, please reach out to grantsoffice@shu.edu for the best and most thorough support throughout the development and application process. At minimum, please submit the completed application and proposal documents five business days before the submission deadline.

Out-of-State Student Initiatives
To build a stronger sense of belonging for our out-of-state students, the Campus Inclusion Center and the Office of Student Engagement are launching an initiative to connect students with faculty and staff who share ties to their home states or countries. We are seeking faculty and staff members who are originally from, have lived in, or maintain connections to other states or countries. We are planning a social mixer for out-of-state students to get to meet peers and faculty/staff within the Seton Hall community. We invite you to participate in this new initiative. Please fill out this form to participate!
