Make Consumer Voices Heard: Apply by March 13 for Scholarships to Attend #HCH2020

Encouraging consumer involvement in all aspects of our work, we are offering a number of scholarships to help consumers attend #HCH2020. If you have previously or are now experiencing homelessness and have used services at a Health Care for the Homeless program, please consider applying for a consumer subsidy: these funds will cover your registration, lodging, meals, and some travel expenses.
This is an excellent chance for consumers to learn, network, and build leadership skills to make their voices heard! Apply by March 13, share this opportunity with a consumer you know, or contact us for more information.

Statement: Administration’s FY2021 Proposed Federal Budget Violates Human Rights

The Trump Administration recently released a proposed FY2021 budget with wide-ranging cuts to Medicaid, housing assistance, food programs, and other vital services to people without homes. In the words of our CEO Bobby Watts, “People living on the street struggle mightily to survive, and this budget pushes more people into homelessness and then traps them there.” Particularly devastating are the budget's proposed cuts to Medicaid—which insures half of all patients in HCH programs.

| New MAT Webinar and Peer Mentoring Program Opportunities for Health Centers

HRSA-funded health centers also are welcome to join the COE for BHTA's new peer mentoring program on behavioral health integration. Peer organizations will support mentees in learning and implementing best and promising practices in integrated behavioral health, as well as developing leadership, communication, and coaching skills. Apply by Feb. 24 to take part as a mentee; the program will begin in March and continue through June 30.
