The Boulder Public Library District Board of Trustees has been hard at work since mid-May building the library district approved by Boulder City and County voters in 2022.
“We are all excited and honored to be doing this work," said Joni Teter, President of the Board of Trustees. "The library district’s steady and predictable funding will allow our library to meet community needs today and for future generations."

"Longitude: The True Story of A Lone Genius Who Solved the Greatest Scientific Problem of His Time" by Dava Sobel
"This book celebrates John Harrison's world-changing invention of maritime navigation by chronometer. Lacking the ability to measure their longitude, sailors throughout the great ages of exploration up until the 18th century had been literally lost at sea as soon as they lost sight of land. Sobel discusses the technical processes involved in Harrison's mechanical solution, the competing method (navigation by the stars), and the personalities of the two methods' proponents."
