| Back-to-School + Student/Teacher Self-Care
This back-to-school season, we give our heartfelt appreciation to our teachers out there, tackling the many challenges of COVID-19 with creativity, adaptivity, and perseverance.Â
With much uncertainty still ahead, we’d also like to remind of the importance of self-care, and offer some tips from our CATCH training team:Â
- Teacher self-care will be key this year. Consider hosting a self-care challenge for your faculty!Â
- Remember your WHY - why did you become a teacher? Keep that top of mind to get you through the tough days!
- “Maslow before Bloom” – meet your students' health, safety and social/emotional needs first before academics.
- Mindfulness is for everyone! Find your favorite mindfulness activity and use it often for yourself and your students.
(See free mindfulness activities at CATCH “Health at Home”)
- 85% of our students are kinesthetic learners – include physical activity in your lessons.

We’re all in this together!

| CATCH K-8 Video Lessons
In these unpredictable times, we know teachers need flexible ways to deliver lessons. That is why we’ve developed pre-recorded CATCH health lessons, available to stream on CATCH.org or via a unique, sharable link (for simple, account-free student access).
Episodes for the K-2 and 3-5 bundles are now available, with several more (including all 6-8 episodes) premiering in September. Each bundle includes 5 health/nutrition videos based on the evidence-based CATCH curriculum, plus 4 newly-developed Fighting Illness & MVP video lessons.
