Jenna Jordan (International Affairs) and Kelly Ritter (Literature, Media, and Communication) have been selected for the 2025 ACC Academic Leaders Network Fellows program. The program is designed to foster cross-institutional networking and collaboration between ACC schools, while increasing the academic leadership capacity within each institution.

Nominations are now open for two new quarterly employee recognition awards in the Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts.

The Rising Stars Award recognizes an emerging leader in the College whose record reflects ongoing and exceptional growth in contribution to the profession and increased levels of leadership and responsibility.
- The High Five Award recognizes staff and faculty for going above and beyond their normal duties to demonstrate the Ivan Allen College's shared values of teamwork and excellence.

Micah Ziegler (Public Policy) presented a seminar at Oak Ridge National Laboratory on “Data-Informed Modeling To Help Make Energy Systems More Sustainable.” His research identifies ways to improve approaches to meeting energy demand reliably, with a focus on energy storage technologies.
|

Regents' Professor Lisa Yaszek (Literature, Media, and Communication) spoke about the history of women in science fiction at Telefónica Foundation Madrid. Yaszek was also a featured guest author at the 2024 international Barcelona Fantastic Genres Festival, where she participated in an opening night roundtable and a solo interview. She also gave an invited interview at Llibreria Finestres, Barcelona's premiere bookstore and literary event space, where she talked about her work recovering and republishing women's science fiction.
