Major Teaching Project Grants |
Submit a CTE major teaching project grant proposal (up to $3,000). These grants encourage curricular and pedagogical innovations that will result in more engaged and improved student learning. Innovations may be at the course, department, program, division, and/or university levels.

| E. Phillips Knox Distinguished Teaching Award Nomination Deadline: |
This award was established by Miami alumnus E. Phillips Knox, a 1968 graduate, to recognize creative, innovative, and engaging teaching methods at the undergraduate level.

The Institutional Effectiveness-Teaching Connection is a collaborative product of the Office of Institutional Research and Effectiveness and the Center for Teaching Excellence with the goal of translating institutional data into considerations for improving teaching and learning at Miami. Issue #116 focuses on "Making Assessment Meaningful."

Countdown to Lilly: Spotlight on Our Plenary Presenters |

The plenary sessions at the 43rd Original Lilly Conference on College Teaching (November 21-23 at Armstrong Student Center) feature three renowned teacher-scholars. Norman Eng will present the conference's opening plenary on Thursday evening, November 21, followed by Linda Nilson's keynote address on Friday afternoon and Jeffrey Raker's closing plenary session on Saturday. Engage these and nearly 100 other individual concurrent and poster sessions, receptions, networking/refreshment breaks, and our legendary Trivia Night with colleagues from Miami and across the U.S.

Template for a Popular Midcourse Evaluation Tool |
The site for the Student Assessment of Their Learning Gains midcourse tool is no longer functional. But don't despair! The CTE has created a template to use with your preferred survey platform (Canvas, Qualtrics, GoogleForms, SurveyMonkey, etc.). The template allows you to choose or modify the statements as you see fit in order to assess students' perceived achievement of your learning goals.

Proposals are only about 100 words, so preparing for the party takes less time than making an appetizer to share.
