Professor Dr. Stella Flores Joins Faculty at The University of Texas at Austin’s School of Education
| |
After six years at NYU, Dr. Stella Flores will be leaving this fall for a position at UT Austin’s School of Education. Dr. Flores said, “NYU was the best job I had to date. I will miss my friends, my students and the unbelievable energy of the place. However, pandemic makes one rethink what is most important at this time and into the future. I am happy to be moving closer to family but also to the place I have studied more than any other as Texas has been the subject of much of my research on college access. There are many equity issues to fight for in Texas and I hope to be a part of this movement. I am extremely grateful to my NYU colleagues and students for providing incredible memories and lessons.”
While we will miss Dr. Flores, we wish her luck at UT Austin!
