Please come to a Focus Group this winter
Please come to a Focus Group this winter
January 18, 2026

Dear Partner in Ministry,

Later this year, the Georgetown Presbyterian Church will embark on a capital campaign to celebrate our vibrant church's 250th anniversary, and to confirm that GPC will remain a congregation that nourishes faith in the hearts and minds of adults and children through worship, Christian education, fellowship, and mission work that changes lives for generations to come.

To prepare for this anniversary and this campaign, we have focused intently on listening to the congregation about our vision for the future and are excited to present our findings regarding the scope of a capital campaign for your feedback and consideration. Specifically, we invite you and anyone in your household to attend a Focus Group meeting over the next four weeks. The purpose of these meetings is to give everyone in the congregation an opportunity to hear the vision and hope encompassed in this capital campaign and what it will look like to achieve it.

We have scheduled seven Focus Groups between January 25 and February 15, and we hope that you will mark your calendar to participate in at least one. Each group will be led by a GPC 250 Capital Campaign steering committee member and supported by Wayne Spaulding of James D. Klote & Associates, a consulting firm assisting us in our assessment and planning. There will be a twenty-minute presentation followed by time for you to share your reactions and make suggestions; each meeting should last no longer than an hour. We will also ask you to fill out a brief questionnaire at the conclusion of the Focus Group meetings.

The following is a list of dates, times, and locations for the meetings. There is no registration for these meetings - just come at a time that works for you.

GPC is important to us all for spiritual grounding, meaningful community, and providing a way to serve our neighbors. We hope you will participate in at least one of these meetings as we seek to continue to live out our mission in our community and lay the groundwork for the next chapter in GPC’s history.

Sincerely,

The GPC 250 Capital Campaign Steering Committee
