DeWys Manufacturing announces growth

DeWys Manufacturing, Inc., a complete metal solutions company in Wright Township, is investing nearly $7 million dollars over three years into a 30,000 square foot expansion to their existing 90,000 square foot facility. Registration is now open to host an event for the 2019 Discover Manufacturing Week (Sept. 30-Oct.4).
 
Local manufacturers host facility tours, open houses and more to share about what they make and their job opportunities, connect with schools, students and educators and showcase their team's talent. Last year, 193 West Michigan employer sites hosted 7,600+ students from 97 schools.

This proof-of-concept, reverse-classroom style bootcamp, named "Boostcamp," meets Wednesdays from September 4 thru November 20 from 5-7pm with coaching sessions and mentors. The deliverable from this one per week, 12-week session, will be a customer-validated plan to "Boost" your idea or technology to market.

Gentex hosted business idea pitch competition

Lakeshore Advantage partnered with Gentex to host 5x5 Night. Over 100 people enjoyed snacks and beverages and watched five local entrepreneurs pitch business ideas. One idea was awarded $5,000. Our esteemed judges were:
