Congratulations to the Meharry Medical College and Vanderbilt University School of Medicine Class of 2023! The Nashville Academy of Medicine presents two prestigious medical student awards: the Dorothy Lavinia Brown Award and the Tom Nesbitt Award.
The Dorothy Lavinia Brown Award recognizes outstanding medical leadership, education, and civic involvement. The 2023 recipient, Terry Henry, has demonstrated exemplary character and leadership through active participation in NAM and the Tennessee Academy of Ophthalmology, as well as involvement in various other organizations.
The Tom Nesbitt Award acknoledges achievement in education, socio-economic, and legislative affairs. Megan McLeod, the 2023 recipient, has shown exceptional dedication to NAM and Vanderbilt, holding leadership positions and contributing significantly to medical student organizations.
