April 18: State of the City Address
At this popular annual event, hear from Arvada Mayor Lauren Simpson on a variety of issues facing the City of Arvada, as well as successes from 2024 and upcoming plans that impact businesses and the community. Join over 100 business and community leaders for a delicious breakfast from Footers Catering, networking, and a critical presentation from the City of Arvada.

May 1: National Civics Bee
The National Civics Bee® is an annual competition that encourages young Americans to engage in civics and contribute to their communities. On May 1st at Revive Church in Arvada, local middle school students will participate in a live quiz event testing civics knowledge for a chance to win recognition and cash prizes. Then, the top 3 students from each local competition will advance to the state competition.

This event is free to attend! This year, attendees can also play along with the contestants from their phone with our Audience Quiz. We are also looking for partners and sponsors for the live event that will bring together local families and community members to celebrate these students’ commitment to their community and education.
