INTERN SPOTLIGHT: Jane Hill
PLACEMENT: Photographic Preservation and Collections Management Project
SEASON: Fall 2023 and Spring 2024

Jane Hill comes to us from the University of New Orleans, where she is currently an art history major. Inspired by modern expressionists such as George Condo, Karel Appel, and Philip Guston, Hill has made her mark on The Collection with her passion for art and eye for detail.

On Tuesday, Feb. 27, Carolyn Hembree, associate professor of English, was featured in the French Quarter Journal story "'For Today:' A Conversation with Poet Carolyn Hembree.”

UNO Philosophy professor Sara Bizarro talked with WWL's Tommy Tucker to help answer these questions: "Why do we think the way we do? Why do we fall for logical fallacies?"

On Tuesday, Feb. 20, UNO student Sara Ismail was featured on the WGNO-TV story “New Orleans Woman Wins Big Prize on ‘The Drew Barrymore Show.’”

Carol Gelderman, an esteemed English professor at the University of New Orleans for more than three decades and the author of 10 books—including a biography of Henry Ford—died on March 8. She was 89.

This week, our Model UN students are participating in the 2024 National Model United Nations conferences in New York. Debating and resolution-writing sessions will culminate in a final meeting in the General Assembly Hall of the United Nations headquarters.
