Facilities Requests: Easy for Students to Submit Online! |
| |
From time to time, your Wildcat's residence hall or room may require attention. Whether it's broken blinds, pest control, common area/restroom cleaning or supplies, or a heating/cooling issue, please remind your student to file a request online so it can be recorded, assigned, tracked and completed efficiently. Villanovans can report concerns easily—24 hours a day, seven days a week—using a simple form found on the Maintenance Request page. In an emergency, students can call the Facilities Maintenance Office Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m.-3 p.m., at 610-519-4420; after hours, students can call Public Safety at 610-519-6979.

Academic Support Services Available at Villanova |
| |
Many students will make use of Villanova's academic support services at some point during their time here. Whether they need help planning out their week or support through a challenging course—or simply want to improve upon their understanding of a class they already excel in—we encourage them to seek out these services, which are free for Villanova students. Talk to your student about checking out our Academic Support website to review available services, schedule an appointment and learn more about becoming a tutor.

Mailing Packages to Campus
Now that our resident students have moved in to their campus housing, students and families are reminded to follow the instructions on the Mail Services page to help ensure delivery of their mail and packages to campus. If your Wildcat isn't sure of their VUBox number, they can find that in their housing portal. Once a student receives a package and it is processed by Mail Services, they will be notified that the item is ready for pickup in their designated mail center.

Encourage Your Student to Participate in the St. Thomas of Villanova Day of Service |
Annually, Villanova students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends join together for the St. Thomas of Villanova Day of Service to engage in service with people and agencies throughout the Greater Philadelphia area. This is a great way for our new students get to know one another and connect in the local community while supporting the marginalized in the spirit of St. Thomas of Villanova. Encourage your Wildcat to explore the opportunity and get involved with their new friends and classmates.

Checking In with Our New Students Through House Calls |
For more than 20 years, House Calls has been a Villanova tradition. University faculty, staff and administrators visit students in their residence halls to check in with them as they navigate their first few weeks on campus. This year, Villanova will be visiting students the evening of Wednesday, Sept. 16. Wildcats who are home and take a moment to chat with us will automatically be entered into a drawing for fun prizes! This is an evening so many of us enjoy as a fun, meaningful expression of our Augustinian values and our commitment to fostering a welcoming supportive community for our students.

Registration is Open for Service and Justice Experiences (SJEs) |
| |
Students can immerse themselves in service within the local US and international communities while forming meaningful relationships with fellow Villanova students. Encourage your Wildcat to explore Service and Justice Experiences (SJEs) scheduled this October during Fall Break. Participant Application Forms are open and should be completed by Thursday, Sept. 3. The SJE program can subsidize program fees and travel expenses, help support community partners and offer funding assistance to students who need it. Additional details can be found on the SJE website.
