Contingency Planning for
Inclement Weather
As we head into winter, we like to review our contingency procedures in the event of cancellations or delays due to weather.
Any weather-related delays or closings will be communicated to the Brebeuf community via email, text alert, Brebeuf's Twitter account, and through local news channels.
In case of the need for a weather-related delay, we will use our 2-hour delayed opening schedule, with the first class beginning at 10:30 a.m.
In case of the need for weather-related school closing, the first time this takes place, we have the calendar flexibility to take one true "snow day," with no asynchronous assignments given online. Any further closings beyond the first one will be asynchronous learning days. On those days, students will receive assignments to complete at home via Google Classroom for each of their classes that would have met that day. We will always communicate about asynchronous learning day expectations via email to students and parents any time they come up.
We hope this helps everyone know what to expect, but we also appreciate your flexibility in the event that things don't always go as planned.
Thank you!

Final Exam Schedule Fall 2021
Click here for additional details and to view the full schedule and list of courses giving final exams. These are not regular class days, so please note the adjusted timing on your family's calendar.
If a student is absent for an exam, there is a makeup period on Friday afternoon, December 17. If that is not possible, the student will make up the exam upon return to school in January, and will receive a grade of Incomplete for the course until that time.

A huge thank you to the Brebeuf community for the generous support of our Help for the Holidays toy drive. Between monetary donations and the toys that students brought into school, we were able to provide well over 800 gifts to the Crisis Office Christmas Store in one of our most successful Help for the Holidays drives to date! The Crisis Office will help provide gifts for nearly 3,700 children this holiday season, and Brebeuf's contributions help to make it possible. Thanks so much for your generosity!

UGLY SWEATER DAY TOMORROW, DECEMBER 10
They say the best way to spread Christmas Cheer is singing loud for all to hear, but since that would be a bit too disruptive to our school day, we wanted to ask everyone to participate in an ugly sweater day on Friday!
The basketball team will be doing an ugly sweater night at their game on Friday, so you can wear your sweater to school and the game.
Looking forward to seeing some great sweaters on Friday, so don't be an angry elf and dress up! And remember: "There's room for everyone on the nice list!"

BREBEUF JESUIT ARROW STORY OF THE WEEK
Brebeuf Returns to Final Exams
Written by Thalia Birdas, '25
Staff Writer
For many Brebeuf students, the anticipation of this unfamiliar experience can feel stressful. Emory Laughlin ‘22 says that she’s “sure it’s going to be fine. But at the same time it’s going to be weird going back to taking finals, just in general, because we’re not really used to that.”
