Rooibos draws its naturally sweet, gently nutty, honey-caramel flavour directly from this rugged landscape. The sandy, nutrient-poor soils, hot days, cool nights and high-altitude mountain air create the perfect conditions for Rooibos to develop its unique flavour compounds - a true “taste of place” you won’t find anywhere else.

From there, oxidation transforms the plant even further.
