- Commencement: June 10-12, 2022
After declaring degree candidacy via GOLD, students must make a reservation to participate in a ceremony based upon their major by Monday, May 9.
Graduates are asked to limit their guest count to three guests. Tickets are not required, and seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. All ceremonies will be presented via livestream on the Commencement website for those not able to attend in person.
We encourage all graduates and their families to visit the Commencement website to learn more about critical dates, parking details, accommodations and other pertinent information. College of Creative Studies graduates and families should visit the 2022 CCS Commencement page.
- UCSB Give Day Thank You!
Thank you to all our Gaucho parents who participated and gave during UCSB’s Give Day! Because of the support of parents, alumni and supporters of our University, we raised over $6 million in support of our Gauchos. Read the Current article to learn more about the collective impact you helped us make.
- Open House
UC Santa Barbara welcomed approximately 10,000 future Gauchos and their guests to its annual Open House event on Saturday, April 9th. This fun-filled day included information and resource fairs, campus tours, live performances, interactive demonstrations, and more! Watch the highlights.

Student Resource Highlight
| |
With seven sessions of varying length to choose from, more than 10,000 students flock each summer to UCSB's Summer Sessions to pursue their unique educational goals. A widely varied curriculum boasts more than 600 courses across all disciplines to appeal to a diverse group of students.
Summertime vibes extend beyond the classroom through the Culture and Community Program, which welcomes the campus and broader Santa Barbara communities to enjoy films, performances, plays and events that enrich and enliven sun-soaked days. The general public is also invited to ignite their curiosity through GRIT Talks, an engaging annual lecture series featuring eight notable faculty, who share ways in which their research is shaping the future.
