CABINET LETTER FROM MARK CHIARUCCI

Dear De La Salle Community,
The start of the school year always brings a surge of energy and excitement to Winton Drive, and this year has been no exception. Between classroom learning, athletics, arts, and community events, our campus is alive with the spirit that makes De La Salle so special.
I am in awe of our community. Last week’s Giving Week was nothing short of historic. “Giving Day” started nearly ten years ago, and in that first effort, we were thrilled to raise $40,000. Fast forward nine years, and the progress is astounding. This year, for “Giving Week,” we set an audacious goal of $600,000 in just one week, and thanks to alumni, parents, and former parents, grandparents, and friends, we not only met it, we exceeded it!!!
We believed that our community would rise to the challenge, and they did just that, exceeding our previous best effort by more than $100,000. It is just what Spartans do: we rise to any challenge. Gifts of every size, whether $100 to support wrestling, $1,000 for Company, or $10,000 for the Bishop Cummins Program, will make a real impact on every aspect of the school.

THANK YOU to our wonderful parent community for the tremendous support we received during De La Salle Giving Week. Because of you, we were able to smash our goal and raise more than $665,604! The impact your support will have on our young men, our faculty, and our staff will be felt throughout the school year.
We want to thank all the students, faculty, and alumni who shared the impact De La Salle has had on their lives via our video messages. If you missed any of them, please visit vimeo.com/dlshsconcord.
Families continue to bless our community as the gifts keep rolling in! You can still make a gift to this effort by visiting dlshs.org/givingweek.

Our annual Cereal Drive wrapped up with a U-Haul packed to the brim. Together, we collected 2,148 boxes of cereal (crushing our 2,000-box goal!) and raised $2,316.19 for our friends at the Monument Crisis Center.
This year, we turned up the fun with a House Challenge, and after some friendly competition, House Reedley took home the win! The drive also saw the highest faculty and staff participation in years — proving that Spartan spirit runs deep across campus. Every box, every dollar, and every act of service makes a difference for local families in need.
Thank you to everyone who donated, organized, and helped load up those mountains of cereal into the truck! This is what faith, service, and brotherhood look like.

GIFT A THANKSGIVING PIE TO A DLS EMPLOYEE

|
Put the "Happy" into Thanksgiving. Our Parent Association is once again asking the De La Salle community to show their love and gratitude for De La Salle teachers and staff by purchasing a special De La Salle Thanksgiving Pie from Danville Bakery. All you have to do is place your order online between now and November 19. The pies will be freshly baked and delivered on the last day of school, prior to Thanksgiving, so our employees can take them home to enjoy with their families. What could be happier than that?
