LLCs Set For 2020-21 School Year

As a member of a Living Learning Community at UWM, you get to be part of a "community within a community" by living in the residence halls among students with similar interests. $10 Million Donation Puts UWM On Path To New Research Vessel

An anonymous donor of the Greater Milwaukee Foundation has committed $10 million toward a new research vessel for the UWM School of Freshwater Sciences. In recognition of the gift, which equals the largest ever received by UWM, the vessel will be named the Maggi Sue. It will replace the current vessel, the Neeskay, a converted Army T-boat that is more than 65 years old. READ MORE

Fall Commencement 2019

Fall Commencement 2019 is scheduled for Sunday, Dec. 15 at the UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena. Doors open at 9 a.m. and the ceremony begins at 10 a.m. The Arena Team Store will be open during commencement for attendees and guests to purchase UWM graduation-related merchandise and apparel. READ MORE

Outdoor Pursuits Winter Break Trips

UWM's University Recreation Department has a pair of winter break trips scheduled. A backpacking trip along the Arizona Trail is already full (wait list names are being accepoted) but space remains available on the two Winter Adventure trips to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. READ MORE

Alternative Spring Break Trip Registration Underway

This March, 30 UWM students will travel to Asheville, North Carolina. While there, they will gain a better understanding of Appalachian history, culture, and communities. Participants will engage in service at various non-profit agencies (focusing on issues of veteran rehabilitation, hunger and homelessness, and environmental sustainability) while enhancing their leadership skills.

Spring Move-Out Message For Residents Of Sandburg, Purin

Because of ongoing renovation work, late departures for residents of Sandburg North, Sandburg South and Purin Hall will not be accomodated this spring.

Student Success Center Seeking Tutors

The spring semester is just around the corner and the planning for tutoring and Supplemental Instruction for next semester has already begun in the Student Success Center. The SSC is currently looking to hire new tutors and Supplemental Instruction leaders to help with various courses for spring.

2020-21 FAFSA Filing

If your student will be attending college during the fall 2020 and/or spring 2021 terms, this is a friendly reminder to file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the 2020-21 academic year.

Jan. 24 - Deadline for undergraduate students to apply for graduation
