Succeed Director Jonathan Lidgus receives 2023 State Level Leadership Award

The State of the Art Conference bestowed Jonathan Lidgus, director of the Succeed Program, with the 2023 State Level Leadership Award. Each year, the State Level Leadership Award is given to an individual who reflects leadership and commitment to furthering the field of inclusive higher education. 

Missouri high school students explore their potential, UMSL campus at Educators Rising Conference


Nearly 140 Missouri educators and high school students, as well as a few middle school students, flocked to the university to participate in the Educators Rising Fall Conference. Some were dressed to the nines, while others were clad in sweatshirts and t-shirts representing their respective schools, but everyone buzzed with excitement at the prospect of exploring a college campus.

Dr. Lynn Navin instrumental in UMSL being awarded $1.8 million CCAMPIS grant to support student parents


The U.S. Department of Education’s Child Care Access Means Parents in School program awarded UMSL a four-year, $1.8 million grant, which the university will use to support low-income student parents on campus and to expand their access to high-quality child care.

College of Education Hosts AI Event for Educators

Current, retired, and pre-service educators recently gathered for an evening of professional development in which they learned the latest knowledge and approaches on Artificial Intelligence and implications for its usage in the classroom. The event, sponsored by the Circle of Educators, featured COE Orthwein Endowed Professor for Life-Long Learning in the Sciences, Dr. Keith Miller, and his colleague, Dr. Badri Adhikari, associate professor in the UMSL Computer Science department.

UMSL Office of Inclusive Postsecondary Education offers scholarships for 2024 Summer Camp

UMSL Office of Inclusive Postsecondary Education (formerly UMSL Succeed program) has partnered with The St. Louis Office for Developmental Disability Resources to offer 10 scholarships for our 2024 summer camp. If you are a high school student (especially junior or senior students) residing in the City of St. Louis or attending St. Louis Public Schools and have documented developmental disabilities, this is your chance! We have several upcoming open houses, please join us to learn more about inclusive postsecondary education.
