We've Been Here Before. Fifty Years Ago ...

This edition comes to you in a time of great change in the US, and the world. But we have been here before. Fifty years ago, Omaha’s urban community leaders proposed a college dedicated to crafting solutions to respond to the social injustices exposed by the civil rights movement. That college became CPACS. Like other academic colleges, we offer degrees and do research. But what sets us apart is our full engagement in the metropolitan area through action-oriented research, community-based learning, and enduring partnerships. We have been part of solving problems either through direct participation or through our alumni. We will continue these efforts to make Omaha a better community, and to share what we learn around the world.
