Personalized dietary recommendations combined with continuous glucose monitoring helps individuals lose more weight |
A new study led by Raedeh Basiri in the Department of Nutrition and Food Studies used new methods to help individuals with prediabetes who had obesity and overweight lose weight without following a weight-loss diet. The study didn’t focus on a reduction in calories or an increase in physical activity. Instead, it focused on healthy eating and personal goal setting based on how the body responds to different types of foods.

The CPH Steps Challenge results for the first week of walking have been tallied!
OSA is first out of the gate as leading unit and Lee Black logged the most steps as an individual walker.
We have been asked if adjuncts, GRAs, and wage, etc., employees can participate and the answer is: Yes!
All CPH employees can join in. (Note: you will likely notice a variation in number totals in the next report chart as these added employees are newly factored into the calculations; however, all remains proportional.)
Participants may walk anywhere, anytime, within the weekly time frames, counting their steps, and then report their CPH unit affiliation along with the steps they’ve walked.
At the end of the semester, the unit with the most steps (proportionally) will be awarded a prize and take the trophy! Report your steps no later than 12:00 pm on the Monday after each Monday-through-Sunday challenge week.
Report September 9 - 15 steps by 12:00 pm Today, September 16.
