Winter Commencement

Congratulations to our December 2022 graduates! Winter Commencement for graduate and undergraduate students is on Saturday, December 10, at the KCAC. The graduate ceremony is at 9:30 a.m. and the undergraduate ceremony is at 1:00 p.m.

Preparing for Finals

As you prepare for your final exams, use the Study Cycle as a guide.

Step 1: Preview the material to gain a sense of the big picture and anticipate how concepts fit together.
Step 2: Attend class by being attentive and engaged to gain insight from the instructor and students in your class.
Step 3: Review course material soon after class while the information is still fresh, and summarize the key points.
Step 4: Study by scheduling several focused study sessions for each class in advance of the final exam.
Step 5: Check in with yourself to make sure you have a strong understanding of the course material by assessing your knowledge on a regular basis.

When Are My Final Exams This Semester?

Final exams are scheduled December 6 through December 9. Check the Fall 2022 Final Exam Schedule to view the day and time of your finals based on your class schedule.

Football in the DII Playoffs

The Crimson Hawks and Shepherd will face each other in the 2022 NCAA DII Playoffs at the Super Region One Final this Saturday, December 2, at 1:00 p.m. at Miller Stadium.

IUP students with a valid I-Card can pick up a free ticket at the KCAC box office. Go Hawks!

Stay Healthy Over Break

Don’t get the flu for the holidays! Get your free flu vaccine at the Health Services office Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. You can just walk in for it.

Keep yourself physically and mentally healthy at the Center for Health and Well-Being.

Making a Strong Introduction and Handshake

Part of making a strong introduction is having a good handshake. Make sure you look the person in the eye, shake for two to three pumps, keep the grip firm (but not too firm), and don’t forget to smile! Finals De-Stress Fest

Stressed about finals? Come to De-Stress Fest in the Folger Student Center on Tuesday, December 6, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. to unwind and relax. All activities are free and include chair massages, Just Paws therapy dogs, virtual reality games, crafts and coloring, and Dippin’ Dots ice cream.

Late Night Pancakes

The Division of Student Affairs is hosting its end-of-semester Late Night Pancake meal in North Dining Hall on Monday, December 5, and Tuesday, December 6, from 10:30 p.m. to midnight. All students are welcome, whether or not they have a meal plan, and the event is free of charge.
