The first session of this year's Readers Meet the Author Series features Dr. Elesha J. Coffman, Professor of History, and her recent publication "Turning Points in American Church History: How Pivotal Events Shaped a Nation and a Faith" (Baker Academic, 2024). Dr. Elizabeth Flowers, Associate Professor of American Religion, will converse with Coffman about her work. A reception and book signing will follow. Copies of "Turning Points in American Church History" will be available for purchase.

Whether you’re just starting out, or an experienced student in your program, learning to navigate the IMRaD can be a tricky task. Register here to join the GWC and GPS for a workshop and learn helpful practices for increasing your efficiency, using clearer language, and focusing your writing at every stage of the process. There will also be a brief period of Q&A afterwards to address your writing questions.  Light snacks will be served!

The Graduate School is eager to support students and their original research through two kinds of travel support to students who are formally registered for credit hours: Travel to Professional Meetings and Travel to Support Doctoral Research. **ALL applications must be submitted at least four weeks prior to travel to be considered.**  Please see more here.

The Graduate Research Showcase is an opportunity for you to share your research with other graduate students across campus! Fill out this form to sign-up to contribute a poster to the showcase. Research posters will be judged by faculty and a winner will be chosen from the categories of STEM, Social Sciences, and Humanities. Winners will receive a prize of $100! Â Coffee and donuts will be provided. Â All current graduate students are eligible to participate. Spaces are limited, so sign up soon.
