Matthew Hild, a lecturer in the School of History and Sociology, won the Georgia Historical Records Advisory Council's 2023 Award for Excellence in Documenting Georgia's History for his book, Gwinnett County, Georgia, and the Transformation of the American South, 1818-2018. Hild co-edited the book with Michael Gagnon.
