Jenkins Center for Virtue Ethics receives grant

A $10 million grant from the John Templeton Foundation was awarded to the Rev. John I. Jenkins, C.S.C., Center for Virtue Ethics to support a project titled Love and Social Transformation: Empowering Scholars and Social Innovators to Develop the Love Ethic.

Partial agreements can help peace processes succeed

Partial peace agreements—deals signed along the way that address issues ranging from ceasefires to constitutional reforms and human rights—could provide a blueprint for peacebuilding policymakers and practitioners, according to new research led by Madhav Joshi, research professor and associate director of the Peace Accords Matrix.

Keep it! ‘Returnless returns’ boost brands among consumers

Many leading retailers no longer require customers to return a recently purchased and unwanted product to get a refund—they often tell customers to “just keep it,” meaning they get both the refund and the item.
