Celebrating Our Interconnections with Spirit, Learning & Music

Our new campus was buzzing last Thursday evening when we welcomed more than 325 guests to our annual Spring Gala to celebrate the College, honor outgoing Board Chair Andy Offit and Founding Supporter of our Miller Center for Interreligious Learning & Leadership Dan Miller, and present the Esther Award to sculptor Nancy Schön who created a sculpture for our new campus courtyard. The crowd was also treated to music performed by Rabbi Jessica Kate Meyer `14 and current ordination students, as well as a panel with fellows from the Miller Center's various programs, moderated by Rabbi Batya Ellinoy `22.

We thank you. Your generosity shined throughout the evening. We also appreciate the meaningful support of those who were unable to celebrate with us in person.

Being human is not easy. I carry this thought with me constantly. It lives in my heart as I watch my kids try to learn new things or express their feelings with words instead of big actions. It lives in my head as I learn new texts. It lives in my body as I work to parent, facilitate, lead, teach, and be in a world filled with overwhelming suffering and deep beauty.

Being human is not easy. I have come head to head with this reality several times in just the past week...

Tikkun Leyl Shavuot Together with Our Partners

May 25 from 6 pm to Midnight. Join us for all or part of the evening!

“As someone who loves the study of Jewish texts, a holiday whose main observance is the all-night study of Jewish texts is of course going to be something I love.” Those are the words of Rabbi Dan Judson, dean of the rabbinical school, but the words also reflect the endearing Torah-centered education that Hebrew College seeks to inspire in the hearts of its rabbis, cantors, community learners, and Jewish educators. To foster that love of Torah, Hebrew College and Temple Reyim, along with our other supporting partners, will join and celebrate this Jewish tradition of Tikkun Leyl Shavuot for the first time on our new shared campus.

Meet Our New Director of Adult Learning

"My professional career began as a classroom teacher in a public school. When I made the move to teaching in the Jewish world, I held a variety of roles focusing on educating and engaging children and teens. During the last eight years, I’ve added adult learning to my portfolio. It’s been so wonderful to pay attention to and create meaningful opportunities for adults who are interested in joining the chain of tradition of exploring Jewish wisdom.
