Dear UACS families,
As COVID cases are on the rise again, we want to reiterate our gratitude for your patience, trust, and understanding as we collectively navigate a new normal in pandemic times. On that note, we want to highlight this week's featured photos (above) which are from our UACS Nights outdoor, sociall distanced and COVID-safe activities. We appreciate everything you all have done to keep your family connected to Netter's in-person and online learning and enrichment programs! Comegys UACS Virtual Mid-Season Showcase: Come see fun performances and learn about what we do in after school! Tuesday, Nov. 10 at 3pm using this Zoom Link.
Culinary Medicine: Nutrition + Kidneys!: Join medical students on Tuesday, Nov. 10 from 4:10-5:00pm for a fun, interactive session on the kidneys, vitamins, and nutrition! We’ll walk through what your kidneys do and how you can keep them healthy. We will also share yummy food tips and a tasty smoothie/popsicle recipe. Hope to see you there! Join using this Zoom Link.

School District of Philadelphia UpdatesOn Oct. 30th the SDP hosted the 2nd annual RISE Summit, an opportunity for students to connect and exchange ideas virtually, focusing on the city’s growing public health crisis, gun violence, and its impact on youth. The half-day summit, had approximately 200 students participating, including student-led discussions focused on healing, advocacy and action.
