Furry Friend of the Week
Hi, My name is Sage and I am an australian shepherd. People call me an Aussie. I’m an eight month old puppy and I love to play with other dogs. Sometimes I like to herd people or other dogs just for fun. It’s my instinct.
I am also a protective and a loyal puppy. My human parents are working hard with my training so I can become a good dog.
My favorite trails are Lorax and Marion gulch because I feel free and wild. My best friend and brother is Mac (a 14 year old westie) who has shown me how to just chill and nap in the house.
If you see me walking or barking around the bike path please don’t be scared and yell at me. I’m still learning.
-Sage
We would like to thank Sindy, Joe and the rest of the Smith family for sharing Sage with us for our featured Furry Friend of the Week! If you would like your furry friend to be featured, please submit a picture and short bio to csm@rvrcommunity.com.

Woof!
We would like to remind all dog owners to please be conscious of the impact your pets may have on your neighbors. Be sure to keep your pups leashed while on walks, pick up after them if they make any messes, and do not leave your dogs unattended and barking.
Allowing your dog to continuously bark and walking them off leash are violations of the Town of Carbondale Code of Ordinances.

Thank you for being courteous to your fellow RVR homeowners!

Fitness Instructor of the Week, Lauren Hinson
NASM CPT, CES
Originally from North Carolina, I moved to Glenwood Springs in 2010 with my husband, and we completely fell in love with the Colorado lifestyle. I developed a passion for hiking that led me to a greater appreciation for my body’s capabilities. I had been out of shape for so long, it felt great to be stronger. I was able to hike longer distances, steeper mountains, and I began challenging myself with a couple of the 14’ers and the magnificent Mount Sopris.
I grew up playing sports like softball, tennis, and swimming, but in college I really started to feel out of control around food and exercise. As a long time yo-yo dieter, and someone who has had weight loss on the brain since age 12, I’ve lost and gained the equivalent of several people over the years. I have lost 50lbs two separate times, with 2 years of self-loathing in between. In 2014 I decided to stop giving up on myself and change my focus from weight loss, to making exercise a part of my life to feel great. I stopped using exercise as a weapon to punish myself and started to enjoy movement. I used my hikes for mental health instead of fat burn. I became so passionate about the power of exercise that I made it my career. In 2017 I became a Certified Personal Trainer through NASM, and 2 years later I got a specialization in Corrective Exercise through NASM as well. My biggest passion is group fitness, because I love the energy and community. I am a certified Les Mills Body-pump and Grit instructor, and I love challenging people to be their best. My goal as a trainer is to help people feel stronger, move better, and believe in themselves.
Lauren teaches HIIT on Tuesday's at 9:30 a.m. Check back next week to learn more about one of your favorite instructors!
If you're interested in doing private sessions at the Ranch House with one of the trainers, email info@theaspenclinic.org to schedule your session today!
