Featured Photo
This week's featured photo comes to us from Susan Alberty, an RVR resident who resides in the Crystal Canyon area of RVR. Susan recently hosted a gathering to help welcome all new Crystal Canyon residents to the community. We love seeing all the smiling faces and neighborly love!
We'd like to feature your picture in an upcoming newsletter. If you're interested in having your photo highlighted in the weekly news, please submit images to: jessica.hennessy@rvrma.org.

Trunk or Treat
Saturday, Oct. 29 | 6 - 8 p.m.
Trunk or Treating is a fun alternative to regular trick-or-treating! Park at the Ranch House (or Barn overflow) and decorate your car for Halloween. Kids walk from vehicle to vehicle, collecting candy along the way. Some people get very elaborate with their trunk decor and even make mini haunted house scenes! Or, keep it simple, the kids will have a blast either way.

Click here for car participation registration. **This registration is for those wanting to park, decorate their cars, and hand out candy. First Second and Third Car prizes will be awarded.
We have had a blast in years past during this fun event. Click here to see what some homeowners have created before. You can also find some trunk or treat inspiration below.
Annual RVR Fall Craft Fair
Saturday, Nov. 5 | 3 - 6 p.m.
Would you like to sell your homemade goods at the Annual RVR Fall Craft Fair?
Click here for vendor registration. Space is limited.
Each vendor gets one six-foot table to display their goods. It is up to the vendor to set pricing. Vendors can decide how to accept payment: cash, Venmo, credit card etc.

Reminders & Highlights

Board Meeting Minutes
Do you know you can view past Board Meeting Minutes on the RVR website? The RVR Executive Board approves the previous month's minutes at their monthly meeting, they are then posted to the website.
Click here to read the approved minutes for August.
Green Tip
Please enjoy the following eco-friendly tidbit brought to you by Friends of the Environment:
Before the first frost hits your vegetable or herb garden, preserve as much of your harvest as possible. Canning and freezing provides you with fruits and vegetables during the months when they can’t be grown locally. This helps you reduce your reliance on produce shipped in from distant warm-weather climates, which adds to your carbon footprint. If you’ve been growing herbs, air drying or freezing them are the best methods to treat and store them for use during the winter.
Sign and Flag Policy
With election season approaching we would like to remind you of our sign and flag policy. RVRMA's policy restricts size, placement and quantity. Similarly, the same restrictions apply to flags. With limited and clearly defined exceptions, each lot is allowed one sign and one flag. For more information on the sign and flag policy, please click here.
RVR Rentals
If you are renting out your home in RVR, it is essential that you provide a copy of your rental agreement to the Ranch House. This applies to long-term and short term rentals. Homeowners should also inform tenants of the HOA's rules surrounding parking, trash, noise and other issues that may arise.
Leases can be submitted to ali.royer@rvrma.org.
If you do not have a full lease drawn up, please contact the office to learn what options there are to satisfy this requirement.
*Another important reminder: Per the RVR Master Declaration, a lease must be of an entire 'unit,' whether it is an ADU, caretaker unit, half of a duplex, or single family dwelling. Leasing of just a bedroom is NOT permitted.
