Short Term Rental Amendment Vote |
Deadline to submit your vote is December, 31 2023.
If you have not yet cast a vote for the Fourth Amendment to the RVRMA Master Declaration, we encourage you to do so. Paper ballots are available at the Ranch House (or via mail) should you prefer that method. We are happy to assist any homeowners seeking support with this process, please feel free to reach out. Printed copies of the proposed Fourth Amendment are also available.
The vote will remain open until the end of the year regardless of the published vote tallies. We encourage everyone to cast a ballot to ensure that the vote is as inclusive as possible.

Green Tip | Christmas Trees |
The typical rules of sustainability do not apply when it comes to choosing the most environmentally friendly Christmas tree. Being able to reuse an artificial tree year after year is convenient, but it must be kept for at least 10 years in order to balance out the carbon footprint of the materials, manufacturing, and shipping. Compare the advantages of choosing a real tree: Christmas tree farms help the environment. Trees are grown for seven to ten years before being harvested, and during that time they are sequestering carbon and releasing oxygen. Christmas trees are also a renewable agricultural crop. Purchasing from a nearby Christmas tree farm also bolsters the local economy, as most tree farms are family-owned, and reduces the pollution of trucking in a tree from farther away. And finally, real trees are recyclable and biodegradable. Carbondale has a Christmas tree recycling program where the trees are chipped and turned into mulch. So consider your choice and Merry Christmas!

| | Did you know that dog waste is an environmental hazard? According to the EPA, pet waste doesn't just decompose, it adds harmful bacteria to local waters when it is not disposed of properly. Animal waste can be a source of pollution that can create problems for water quality, and even human health.
Read more at epa.org.
Poop bags are provided in RVR year round at the regularly serviced waste stations. Please be a good neighbor and dog owner, and scoop the poop!

Lap Lane Reservation Reminders |
The Ranch House lap pool is a favorite among RVR homeowners and we love that so many of you enjoy this popular amenity. As a kind reminder, please be sure to follow these important lap lane rules:
| |
-
Lap lane reservations are strongly recommended. Click here to reserve a lane or call the front desk at 970-963-6300.
- Swim lanes are considered shared lanes. We ask that homeowners book one swim lane at a time.
-
We have 4 lanes (lanes 1 & 2 are shared, lanes 3 & 4 are shared). Lane 1 is closest to the hot tub and lane 4 is closest to the fence. Look for number markings on the pool deck near the lanes to ensure you are swimming in the correct lane.
-
Be aware of your reserved lap lane number and reservation time and if you are unable to make your reserved time please be sure to cancel so another homeowner can use the lane.

During the busy holiday season practice good postal etiquette!
| |
Be considerate of the postal workers. They are working extra hard this time of year!
-
Be sure to check your mailbox regularly. There is limited space in each box and with the holidays, many residents will be receiving catalogs, packages and other bulk mail. If your box is full, the post office may have to return your mail to the sender.
-
Remember that if you are heading out of town, you should put your mail delivery on hold. You can do so on the USPS website by clicking here.
-
Members can also sign up for informed delivery by USPS. This allows you to see photos of your mail prior to its arrival for free! Click here for more information.
