| Definition of Single FamilyAt the request of a resident, the Master Association Board will be discussing a possible change to the definition of single family at its April 18 business meeting. Currently it is defined as: “One or more persons related by blood, marriage or adoption, living and cooking together as a single housekeeping unit, exclusive of household servants. A number of persons, but not exceeding six, living and cooking together as a single housekeeping unit, though not related by blood, marriage or adoption, shall be deemed to constitute a family. Family shall not include more than one registered sex offender, unless related by blood, marriage or adoption.” The possible change the Board will be discussing could reduce the number of non-related persons living as a family. Please plan to attend the meeting on Tuesday, April 18 at 6:30 p.m. at the Ranch House and share your thoughts with the Board or email Chris Pacetti at chrisp@kcranch.org.

| Firewise: Recognizing Wildfire Risk
How do you know if you’re at risk from wildfire? A home on the edge of a woodlot or in a field of overgrown grass is easy to identify, but homes within the Wildland-Urban Interface (WUI) are also at significant risk. The WUI can be anywhere along the suburban fringe. Many densely developed suburban neighborhoods, such as Ken-Caryl, are at significant risk from wildfire. Check out the Firewise Article to learn more.
